DC UPS Modules RDCUSV 10D–40D
DC UPSRDCUSV 10D through RDCUSV 40DDC UPS Modules up to 40AInput operating voltage threshold: DC 22 V or DC 20.6 VDC 24V outputBuffer time at max. current factory-set to 30 s (other buffer times available as options)General:Today, we have to live with disruptions in our power grids. These can account for up to 10% of total operating time. Voltage fluctuations and sags occur, and in rarer cases, total outages—for example, due to lightning strikes or errors during maintenance work. An appropriate UPS system provides protection against such disruptions.According to EN 61131-2/Part 2 (limit values for the rated DC voltage at 24 V DC), the operating voltage for electronic controls is currently 24 V DC (20.4 V DC – 28.8 V DC rms). Power supplies must be designed accordingly. In conjunction with our DC power supplies, we offer DC UPS modules for this purpose. These can be easily connected in parallel on the secondary side, ensuring reliable protection for your control systems with simple handling. The patented technology of our DC UPS modules eliminates the need for switching regulators, such as step-up converters. As a result, EMC issues do not occur. All Riedel DC UPS modules feature a compact design with the battery integrated into the housing and are easy to install. The DC UPS modules can be snapped onto DIN EN 60715 mounting rails. The module is available in the following versions: DC 24V 3A 30sec, DC 24V 10A 30sec, DC 24V 20A 30sec, and DC 24V 40A 30sec. Additional versions are available upon request. To use the module, connect it in parallel to the DC output of a 24V DC power supply (see block diagram) and connect the “OFF” terminal to the negative terminal. When the system is shut down, the “OFF” connection must be opened via the normally open auxiliary contact of the main switch in order to deactivate the UPS module!OptionDisabling the buffer time limit, thereby enabling longer UPS runtimeBuffer timesRDCUSV 10D / 16D RDCUSV 20D RDCUSV 40D6 min 8.0 A 16.0 A 25.0 A10 min 5.9 A 11.0 A 16.0 A30 min 2.3 A 5.0 A 7.5 A60 min 1.8 A 3.0 A 4.2 A120 min 0.75 A 2.0 A 2.2 A240 min 0.4 A 1.0 A 1.3 A

DC UPS Modules RDCUSV 3C1-20C8
DC UPSRDCUSV 3C1 to RDCUSV 20C8DC UPS Buffer Module up to 20ANominal input voltage: 24 V DCOutput voltage in buffer mode: 23.0 V DC or 23.2 V DCBuffer time depending on the loadGeneral:The DC buffer module of the RDCUSV C series contains an ultracapacitor inside the housing to store energy. During normal operation, this ultracapacitor is charged by an external, regulated DC power supply. If the DC supply is interrupted, the energy stored in the ultracapacitors is released in a controlled manner. The load is powered by the buffer module until it is fully discharged. The buffer time depends on the charge state of the capacitor and the load current. The buffer module features the following characteristics: Maintenance-free thanks to long-lasting ultracapacitors Microcontroller-based charging and discharging of the ultracapacitors Configurable via USB interface Operating and charging status monitoring via dry contacts and LEDs
