General:The use of dual-line chokes is necessary for current limiting and for suppressing power line disturbances or commutation sags. By distributing the inductance across both power supply lines, a symmetrical connection of the load is achieved. Approximately half the voltage drop occurs across each winding section. Series and parallel connections of the windings allow for additional applications up to twice the rated current and half the voltage drop.Current limiting is preferably set to 25 times the rated current. For this, line chokes with a short-circuit voltage of 4% (2 x 2%) must be used.The dual mains choke is rated according to the load’s rated currentto be selected.Configuration:Open design, stationary, for equipment installation and mounting in dry rooms. Connection to transformers with creepage-current-proof terminals featuring screw terminals.
